Use of Electric Bulb and Electric Fan is not allowed- Fatwa Ridawiya

During the time of Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Rahmatullah alayh, the running and management of trains in India was under the British control. The British used to stop train as per their convenience and pleasure. Ala Hazrat wrote that Salah performed on a moving train under these conditions and management must be repeated when one gets down from the train.

However, in the present conditions, the running and management of trains is under Indian Railways. The running and stopping of the trains are fixed. The train stops only at its official and schedule stops. ( We are not talking about illegal stops, break downs etc. Stopping the train by pulling chain or activating vacuum break is illegal ) Even if a minister is traveling in a train , he cannot make the train stop as per his convenience. The train stops only at the schedule stops.

This is one example to prove that as far as running of trains in India is concerned, conditions have changed in India. Due to this changed condition and other reasons, the sunni muftis and scholars of India are of the opinion that now salah performed in a moving train need not be repeated. The blog contains many books and articles on this topic.

It is well known to the students of dars e nizami that in matters of fiqh and furu, if the conditions change the rulings also change in some cases. However, the members of the Akhtari cult insist that all the furu and fiqh rulings of fatwa ridawiya must be followed even when the circumstances and conditions have changed. To these cult members we present the following fatwa from Fatwa Ridawiya: Fatwa Ridawiya, Vol. 16, p. 233 to 241:

In answering a question Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza rahmatullah alayh writes that use of electric fan and electric bulb is not permissible.

This fatwa was issued some 100 years back due to conditions at that time mentioned in the fatwa .Since Akhtari cult members insist that they must follow fatwa ridawiya in every respect, all the Akhtari members should stop using electric bulb and electric fan !!!!

Fatwa on Photography and CCTV Camera- Jamia Amjadiya Razviya, Ghosi

Jamia Amjadiya Razviya/ Rizviya, Ghosi ( India) is a Madarsa under Molvi Zia al Mustafa Ridawi. The Dar al Ifta of this madarsa was asked two questions with regard to photography for supererogatory ( nawafil ) Hajj and visiting those shrines ( mazaar) where CCTV camera is installed. We produce the fatwa for our Akhtari brethern along with a photograph from the shrine of Imam Ahmad Raza Rh showing a CCTV camera installed there. We hope Akhtari brethren won't say that the installed CCTV camera remains off!! The answer given in the fatwa states that getting oneself photograph is haram e zanni and performing nawafil hajj falls under the category of mustahab (recommended), hence one should not perform supererogatory ( nawfil) hajj, if one has to get photographed. Akhtari brethren will say that our pir sahab doesn't get photographed every time he goes for nawafil hajj. He has kept thousands of photographs as a stock and these were taken just once, many years back. In cas...

Akhtari Moon Sighting controversy

Akhtari Moon Sighting controversy In order to prove itself ‘special’ the Akhtari cult is often found to be crossing the limits set up by shariah. They claim to follow “Maslak e Ala Hazrat” but no Akhtari can give a final definition of “Maslak e Ala Hazrat”. In this regard they are very much like the present day “Ahlu hadith” sect whose members shy away from defining “ahlul hadith”. Yet another similarity between ‘Akhtari cult’ and ‘ahlul hadith cult’ is that they both consider themselves alone to be correct, even in the matters of Jurisprudence! In the last few years the members of the Akhtari cult have created a lot of confusion among the Sunni masses with regard to moon sighting for the holy month of Ramadan as well as Eid al fitr. 2012 Akhtari Moon Sighting controversy In the year 2012, during the month of Ramadan Molvi Zia al Mustafa Ridawi went to a remote coastal town of Karnataka, which is a Southern Indian state. In this coastal town a local mureed of Molvi Zia al M...
